  • Browsing data: during normal operation, the hosting provider's systems collect data whose transmission is inherent to internet protocols (e.g. IP addresses, server logs, browser type). This data is not collected to be linked to identified individuals.
  • Data provided voluntarily: any contact details and message content you send by writing to the e-mail address shown on this site.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Operating, delivering and securing the website — legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Replying to messages you send — handling a request of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

4. Cookies

This website does not use any cookies (technical, analytics or profiling) and shows no consent banner. See the Cookie Policy for details.

5. Recipients and processors

Data may be processed, solely for the purposes above, by the following third parties:

  • GitHub, Inc. (Microsoft Corporation) — hosting provider of the website (GitHub Pages).
  • Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC — for the Google Fonts service (loading of web fonts).

Links to external platforms (LinkedIn, GitHub) are plain links: only if you open them is your data processed by those platforms under their own policies. Data is not disseminated.

6. Transfers outside the EU

Some providers (GitHub/Microsoft, Google) are based or operate in the United States: any transfer takes place on the basis of adequate safeguards under the GDPR, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses and/or adherence to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

7. Retention

Browsing data and technical logs are kept only for the time strictly necessary. Contact data is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and to comply with any legal obligations.

8. Your rights

You may at any time exercise the rights under Arts. 15-22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and withdraw any consent. Requests can be sent to manfred.nesti@gmail.com.

9. Complaints

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority — Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it) — if you believe the processing infringes the GDPR.
